ashley-st-clair-claims-eviction-amid-custody-battle-with-elon-musk

Elon Musk’s former partner, Ashley St. Clair, has publicly stated that she is facing eviction while embroiled in a custody dispute with the billionaire entrepreneur. The 26-year-old influencer, who shares an 11-month-old son named Romulus with Musk, announced her struggles during the inaugural episode of her new podcast, Bad Advice, which premiered on August 18, 2025.

In her podcast opening, St. Clair described her past year as one filled with “unplanned career suicide” and a series of “questionable life choices.” She explained her decision to launch the podcast as a means to navigate her challenging circumstances. St. Clair also revealed that she agreed to participate in a marketing scheme that offered her $10,000 for an advertisement. She remarked, “Not because anybody asked, but because statistically speaking, it was either join this or join a multi-level marketing scheme.”

St. Clair is pursuing sole custody of Romulus, prompting public disputes regarding financial support from Musk. In March 2024, Musk, who has a total of 13 children from various relationships, responded to allegations of inadequate child support. He claimed he had already provided St. Clair with $2.5 million and was sending her $500,000 annually for their child.

Despite these claims, St. Clair countered that Musk had withdrawn financial support to exert control over her. She said, “You weren’t sending *me* money; you were sending support for your child… until you withdrew most of it to maintain control and punish me for disobedience. But you’re really only punishing your son.”

The custody battle has been complicated by Musk’s uncertainty regarding paternity. St. Clair alleges that he has declined to take a paternity test, which Musk denies. She stated on social media platform X, “Elon, we asked you to confirm paternity through a test before our child (who you named) was even born.”

St. Clair first publicly identified Musk as the father on February 14, 2024, sharing her experience on social media to protect their child’s privacy. In court documents, she mentioned that she began dating Musk in May 2023 and that their son was conceived in January 2024. St. Clair claims Musk was absent for the birth and has shown minimal interest in custody, having met Romulus only three times—once in New York for two hours, once the following day for one hour, and a final visit lasting 30 minutes in Austin, Texas.

The ongoing legal dispute continues to unfold, drawing attention to the complexities of their relationship and the responsibilities of parenthood. St. Clair’s candid remarks about her situation emphasize the personal challenges she faces in the public eye, as she navigates her role as a mother while dealing with the ramifications of her past relationship with Musk.
