new-boba-tea-shop-xing-fu-tang-set-to-open-in-berkeley

A new boba tea and drink shop, Xing Fu Tang, is preparing to open on University Avenue in Berkeley. The establishment will occupy the space at 1923 University Avenue, sharing the location with Masa Ramen Bistro. The shop will be surrounded by popular eateries, including Imm Thai Street Food, The Butcher’s Son Vegan Delicatessen & Bakery, and Trader Joe’s.

The franchisee, Tindy Ching, was contacted for further insights about the plans for this upcoming location, but she was unable to provide additional details prior to publication.

Xing Fu Tang, originally from Taiwan, is known for its handcrafted brown sugar boba. The shop aims to introduce its unique offerings to the United States, featuring an open kitchen concept where customers can observe the preparation of freshly made boba pearls. According to the company’s website, “Xing Fu Tang (幸福堂) prides itself in delivering quality products to all guests by using only whole, natural ingredients, instead of artificial syrups and preservatives.”

The brand emphasizes that all beverages and desserts are made to order, utilizing high-quality ingredients imported from Taiwan, alongside locally sourced produce and organic milk.

Among its signature menu items is the highly anticipated Brown Sugar Boba Milk, which incorporates freshly caramelized brown sugar boba, topped with a layer of brown sugar that is lightly torched for a “crème brulee style” finish.

As of now, no specific opening date has been announced. For those interested in updates, following What Now San Antonio on social media is recommended. This new venture in Berkeley is poised to attract both local residents and students alike, adding to the vibrant culinary landscape of the area.
