According to Mario Centola, COO of Chuck E. Cheese International, Joondalup was chosen as the perfect spot to launch in Australia due to its vibrant family community. “(There’s) great entertainment; there’s so much for the family to see and do,” Centola stated in an interview with 7NEWS.
The opening comes through a partnership with Royale Hospitality Group, the Western Australia-based team behind popular dining spots like Milky Lane and Outback Jacks. This expansion marks a significant milestone for the iconic American brand, which was founded in Texas in 1977 and now boasts over 650 locations worldwide.
Despite concerns about local business competition, Bradley Woods, head of the Australian Hotels Association WA, reassured the community that Chuck E. Cheese would enhance the entertainment landscape rather than threaten it. “It adds diversity, it adds different flavor, it adds more entertainment and flexibility,” Woods remarked, emphasizing the strength of the Western Australian market.
The restaurant will be located on Winton Rd in Joondalup, and excitement is already building among local families eager to experience the unique blend of dining and entertainment.
