vashti-muller-returns-to-henty-sparks-historic-netball-run

BREAKING: Vashti Muller, 24, has made a triumphant return to Henty, revitalizing the Swampies’ netball team as they advance to the A-grade semi-finals for the first time in years. Her homecoming comes after a decade-long absence and is a response to the emotional support for the Kilo family following the tragic passing of 20-year-old Henry Kilo in June.

Muller originally registered for what she believed would be a one-off game in round nine but quickly realized she needed to be back home. “I was so grateful. It was such a good game that we were able to play in, and very memorable,” Muller stated. Just two weeks after her initial appearance, she pushed to officially rejoin the team, coinciding with fellow player Molly Murray’s return.

Having previously played in the Ovens and Murray League A-grade competition, Muller transitioned to football and found success with the Wollongong Lions, earning back-to-back premierships, and later with Figtree Saints. “I really enjoyed the footy; it was a good lifestyle,” she noted.

Now, Muller is part of a rejuvenated Swampies squad that recently achieved a significant victory against Osborne in the elimination final. The win marks a pivotal moment in Henty’s history, as they look forward to their sudden-death final against the Billabong Crows at Holbrook on Sunday.

“It’s been really beautiful,” Muller expressed about her return. “I’m very honored that Henty was happy to take me back, so here I am making the most of every opportunity.” She emphasized the importance of community support, noting the enthusiastic crowd at the elimination final, which showcases the strong bond within the club.

As the Swampies prepare for their crucial match against the Billabong Crows, Muller remains optimistic. “We’re feeling good going into it, but obviously finals bring a different game,” she said. “We just want to play some good netball.”

With the finals approaching, all eyes will be on Henty as they aim to continue their historic run in the finals. The excitement is palpable, and the community’s support is unwavering, making this a moment to remember for both Muller and the Swampies. Stay tuned for updates on this developing story.
