Samsung Electronics has introduced its latest innovation, the Bespoke AI Laundry Combo, at the IFA 2025 technology trade show. This new washer boasts an impressive 65% energy efficiency, representing a significant advancement over its predecessor, which achieved 55%. The next-generation models are designed to provide smarter and more sustainable laundry solutions tailored for contemporary households.
Jeong Seung Moon, Executive Vice President and Head of the R&D Team for the Digital Appliances Business at Samsung Electronics, highlighted the company’s commitment to innovation, stating, “With the new A-65% washer, Samsung has pushed the boundaries of convenience and energy efficiency once again.” The introduction of features such as AI Wash+ and enhanced hardware upgrades aims to deliver personalized experiences that minimize effort while maximizing satisfaction.
Enhanced Features and Performance
The new washer significantly exceeds the minimum energy efficiency standards required for a Class A rating in Europe, a benchmark that Australia is currently working to align with. Though not yet available in Australia, Samsung attributes the improved efficiency to advancements in motor performance, refined washing algorithms, and better water circulation.
AI Wash+ is a standout feature that adapts automatically to various fabric types, including outdoor wear and denim. This intelligent system detects the weight, soiling level, and fabric type, allowing for automatic adjustments in water, detergent, and wash time to ensure optimal results.
Additionally, the washer is equipped with a 7-inch intuitive touchscreen that enhances user interaction and facilitates seamless integration with the SmartThings platform. This connectivity allows users to manage their laundry tasks more effectively.
Complementing the washer is a matching dryer, equipped with AI Dry+, which intelligently assesses fabric type and moisture levels to optimize drying time and energy usage.
Future Availability
While Samsung has not yet provided a timeline for the availability of the Bespoke AI Washer and dryer in the Australian market, the company remains committed to expanding its innovative product lineup. As energy efficiency becomes increasingly critical for consumers, Samsung’s advancements in laundry technology reflect a broader trend towards sustainability and convenience in household appliances.
With these new offerings, Samsung continues to set the standard for energy-efficient and user-friendly laundry solutions, reinforcing its position as a leader in the digital appliances sector.
