BREAKING: Savic Motorcycles, Australia’s electric motorcycle pioneer, has just announced a powerhouse leadership team aimed at launching their innovative C-Series motorbike onto the global stage. Based in West Melbourne, the company is not only manufacturing bikes but also setting the course to revolutionize two-wheeled transport with cutting-edge EV technology.

CEO Dennis Savic is at the helm, leading a team that includes tech visionary Marc Alexander, who has joined as the first full-time CTO. Alexander brings invaluable expertise from his previous ventures in tech, including Applied EV and LIFX. The C-suite is further bolstered by former Allianz CFO Mark Raumer, ex-PACCAR manufacturing head Chris Gaspardis, and Victoria Brown, a veteran from McLaren and Rolls-Royce, now acting as Chief Growth Officer.

Savic excitedly noted, “I could not be more excited to have access to the incredible knowledge, skills, and connections of these remarkable individuals.” He emphasized that with production already ramping up, the company expects to become profitable in a matter of months, paving the way for rapid expansion to meet their ambitious mid-term targets.

Production is in full swing with specialized tooling and a slick assembly line established in their West Melbourne facility. Savic is set to deliver the C-Series to 230 eager customers who have already placed orders since the bike’s launch on Australian roads in February 2023. Early reviews highlight the C-Series’ impressive handling and an instantaneous 200Nm of torque, capturing the attention of motorcycle enthusiasts.

The C-Series Alpha stands out with its blend of classic design and modern technology. Inspired by 1960s and 70s cafe racers, it features a lightweight cast-aluminium frame that integrates a 144V battery pack. Its cutting-edge SM1 powertrain boasts a 16.2kWh battery and a powerful 3-phase PMAC motor, propelling the bike from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.5 seconds.

Advanced braking systems include world-renowned Brembo brakes complemented by a custom ABS developed by Bosch Australia. Savic’s regenerative braking technology enhances the bike’s urban range to over 200km on a single charge, with flexible charging options allowing a full charge in under 6 hours.

The C-Series offers an intuitive riding experience with a single-geared, “twist and go” operation, along with a user-friendly push-button reverse gear. Riders can choose from four pre-programmed ride modes—Normal, Sport, Eco, and Rain—plus three customizable modes to tailor their experience.

For tech-savvy riders, the bike is equipped with a 7-inch capacitive touchscreen that offers complete control over performance and riding style. Features include built-in cloud connectivity, mobile integration, and real-time IoT capabilities for seamless updates and enhanced security.

Savic’s proprietary keyless technology allows owners to start the bike using their smartphones, making it incredibly convenient. Riders can also personalize their C-Series with a range of options, including various finishes and trims, starting at A$29,990 plus on-road costs.

With the market for electric motorcycles rapidly expanding, Savic Motorcycles is poised to make a significant impact. The company’s innovative approach, combined with a leadership team packed with industry veterans, positions them as a formidable player in the global EV landscape.
