UPDATE: Multiple arrests have been made following a dramatic burglary incident in Wodonga that involved a stolen vehicle. Authorities report that three suspects, aged in their early 20s, were apprehended in a stolen car on September 11 after a theft at a local home.

Police responded to a burglary call around 4:30 AM on Thursday, where it was discovered that the trio had allegedly forced entry into a property, damaging a door and stealing a scooter. The vehicle had earlier been stolen from Melrose Drive around 10 PM on September 10.

The suspects were caught in the stolen vehicle on McFarland Road at approximately 3 PM on Thursday. A fourth individual, unrelated to the burglary, was also arrested and charged with car theft. All three suspects face a range of charges, including burglary, theft, trespassing, and motor vehicle theft.

In a significant recovery, police also located a stolen welder, valued at $3,000, at a property on Morrison Street later that afternoon. The arrested individuals, two men and two women, have been granted bail and are set to appear in Wodonga Court on January 6 next year.

This incident highlights the ongoing issue of property crime in the region, creating a sense of urgency for community safety. Local residents are urged to remain vigilant.

In a separate incident, a man from West Albury is facing court after allegedly attacking another individual with bolt cutters, underscoring the rising concerns surrounding violent crime in the area.
