UPDATE: The 66th Riverland Field Days was a resounding success this past weekend, attracting over 10,000 attendees to Barmera. The event showcased a vibrant display of 225 booked sites, highlighting the resilience of the community despite challenges like drought and rising costs.
On September 16-17, 2025, the Riverland Field Days brought together exhibitors, vendors, and visitors from across the region. Executive manager Emma Gwiazda expressed her excitement over the turnout, stating that the support for the 2025 event was “fantastic.”
“It was incredible to see so many businesses and attendees at this year’s Field Days,” Gwiazda remarked. “Exhibitors reported high sales and strong foot traffic at their stalls, which is always encouraging. Happy exhibitors mean that I’m happy.”
The event featured crowd favorites such as the Factory FMX motorcycle display and Old MacDonald’s Travelling Farm, both of which garnered positive feedback from families attending the event.
As the committee looks ahead, they are already planning for the 2026 Riverland Field Days. Gwiazda indicated that they aim to continue the Local Hero award tradition, celebrating the contributions of local volunteers. This year, the award went to Samuel Taylor of LifeFM for his longstanding commitment to the community.
Moreover, the co-owners of Strawberries Galore, Kerry and Trevor Braun, were delighted to bring their iconic fruit offerings to the event as they celebrate 40 years in business this December.
Looking forward, early bird registrations for the 2026 Riverland Field Days will open on November 26, 2025, promising another exciting year filled with community engagement and support.
As the Riverland community continues to navigate challenges, the success of this year’s event stands as a testament to resilience and unity. With hopes for improved weather conditions, Gwiazda expressed optimism for future agricultural prosperity, especially for local grape producers.
