UPDATE: A 79-year-old former teacher has been charged with multiple counts of sexual assault involving a female student, more than 30 years after the alleged incidents occurred. Detectives in Sydney’s south-west suburbs made the announcement following a lengthy investigation that began in June 2023.

The charges stem from allegations that the teacher assaulted the teenage girl between 1990 and 1992 at a school in Varroville and at a home in Ingleburn.
