URGENT UPDATE: The 125th Annual Berrigan Show is officially underway today, October 5, 2025, and is making headlines by featuring a special visit from the iconic $850,000 Lexus Melbourne Cup trophy. This prestigious trophy, crafted from 18-carat gold and weighing nearly four kilograms, is part of its annual tour, spanning from New York to Normanton, and is set to attract a crowd eager for a glimpse of this racing legend.
The excitement is palpable as attendees get the rare opportunity to see, hold, and photograph the trophy, which last visited Berrigan almost two decades ago. Kylie Rogers, Chief Executive Officer of the Victoria Racing Club, emphasizes the importance of this tour, stating, “the Lexus Melbourne Cup Tour is one of the most significant ways we can share the excitement and legacy of the Lexus Melbourne Cup with communities across Australia and beyond.”
The Berrigan Show Society Secretary, Lyndall Horne, promises an unforgettable experience, saying, “This milestone Berrigan Show will be one to remember.” The event is packed with racing-themed attractions, including hobby horse races, a spring racing hat parade, and Off-the-Track Equestrian classes featuring retired racehorses.
With a sunny forecast, families can look forward to a vibrant day filled with fun. The Show will be officially opened by Cassandra Bush, the Young Woman from the Land Sydney Royal AgShows NSW, at 12:30 PM, followed by the highly anticipated Lexus Melbourne Cup presentation.
In addition to traditional competitions, attendees can enjoy family-friendly entertainment, sideshow alley, the return of the popular scarecrow decorating contest, the Hay Ho Animal Nursery, free face painting by Cheeky Smiles Face Painting, local musicians, a Kidz Zone, a Children’s Pet Parade, and Junior Show Goers.

Entry to the Berrigan Show is priced at $15 for adults, $5 for pensioners and children aged 10 to 16, with free admission for children under 10.
