A new fast-casual Japanese restaurant, Tsuki Shokudo, is set to open in the Queen Anne neighborhood of Seattle. Restaurateur Byungmoon Chun has secured a lease for 1,575 square feet at 23 Mercer St., expanding the area’s diverse dining scene.
Queen Anne, known for its historic charm and views of Elliott Bay and the Space Needle, has become a vibrant hub for food enthusiasts. The neighborhood boasts a variety of Japanese dining options, including Shiki Japanese Restaurant, renowned for its traditional offerings, and Ikiiki Sushi, which serves casual sushi and stir-fry. Additionally, Moontree Sushi & Tapas provides a unique blend of Japanese dishes and tapas, while Sushi Samurai focuses on innovative plant-based sushi options.
The addition of Tsuki Shokudo will enhance the neighborhood’s culinary landscape. The new establishment will be located directly across from Moontree, which is also owned by Chun. In addition to his ventures in Queen Anne, Chun is a part-owner of Nohm Sushi Bar.
While outreach to the Tsuki Shokudo team for further details has been made, responses have yet to be received. This article may be updated as more information becomes available.
As the opening date approaches, local residents and Japanese cuisine enthusiasts are eager to see how Tsuki Shokudo will contribute to the already rich tapestry of dining options in Queen Anne.
