UPDATE: Former police officer Beaumont Lamarre-Condon faces serious charges following a shocking double murder case. In a dramatic court appearance, he boldly declared, “I will not be silenced,” as he pled not guilty to allegations of killing Luke Davies, a 29-year-old Qantas flight attendant, and Jesse Baird, a television presenter.
The alleged murders took place on February 19, 2024, when Lamarre-Condon reportedly broke into Baird’s home in Paddington, armed with a service weapon from the NSW Police. Authorities claim he shot both men and then concealed their bodies in surfboard bags, which he later disposed of at a rural property.
Appearing via audiovisual link in the Supreme Court of Sydney on Friday, Lamarre-Condon confirmed his not guilty pleas. His mother, Coleen Lamarre, was present in court, visibly supportive as he expressed his determination to fight the charges. “The truth will prevail,” he stated emphatically, as he expressed strong opposition to any suppression orders that might arise during his upcoming trial.
In March 2024, Lamarre-Condon was terminated from the NSW Police Force, following his arrest. Now, he is on his third legal team after previously switching representation in July. His trial is currently scheduled for 21 September 2026, but as the case develops, more information is expected to emerge.
This case has sparked intense media interest due to the brutal nature of the crimes and the former officer’s shocking claims of innocence. It remains to be seen how the court will respond to his statements and the evidence presented.
