URGENT UPDATE: Brazilian Rare Earths Limited (ASX: BRE) has just announced a groundbreaking Mineral Resource Estimate for the Amargosa Bauxite-Gallium Project, revealing a staggering 568 million tonnes of bauxite, including 98 million tonnes of Direct-Ship Bauxite. This significant discovery positions Amargosa as a critical player in the global bauxite and gallium markets.

With a high-quality bauxite grade of 41.9% Total Available Alumina (TAA) and 27,098,000 kg of contained gallium, this project is set to attract international refiners looking for reliable and premium raw materials. The announcement comes at a pivotal moment as global demand for high-grade bauxite and gallium surges, driven by advancements in technology and renewable energy solutions.

The Amargosa project, located in Bahia, Brazil, boasts a low Reactive Silica Index (RSI), which enhances alumina recovery and reduces caustic consumption. Nearly 90% of the direct-ship resource is classified within the Indicated Mineral Resource category, offering a high level of geological confidence necessary for efficient mine-planning and economic studies.

Managing Director and CEO of Brazilian Rare Earths, Bernardo Da Veiga, stated, “

Amargosa’s maiden mineral resource estimate defines a large-scale, high-quality bauxite province… We see a clear path to an early, capital-efficient direct-ship bauxite operation.

” His vision emphasizes the project’s potential for immediate operations and scalable growth opportunities.

The strategic logistics plan includes a partnership with the Port of Enseada, facilitating effective mine-to-port export logistics, crucial for timely delivery to international markets. Furthermore, the established infrastructure, including paved highways and renewable hydropower access, is set to optimize operational efficiency.

In addition to bauxite, the resource estimate highlights a strategic gallium opportunity, essential for semiconductor production and defense applications, further solidifying Amargosa’s importance in emerging supply chains.

Looking ahead, Brazilian Rare Earths plans to conduct a Scoping Study by the end of 2025, along with bauxite upgrade test-work to explore further resource optimization and product enhancements.

This significant resource estimate not only positions Brazilian Rare Earths as a leader in the sector but also underscores the increasing importance of sustainable and reliable bauxite sources in a rapidly evolving global market. Investors and industry watchers alike are encouraged to stay tuned for updates as the project progresses.
