On Tuesday, a full day of racing is set to unfold, featuring flat events at Brighton and Southwell, with live coverage available on Sky Sports Racing. Two standout contenders, Universal Story and Tamaris, will aim to secure hat-tricks in their respective races, showcasing their recent improvements and potential.

Southwell Sees Hat-Trick Aspirants

The 7:30 PM race at Southwell, the attheraces.com/marketmovers Handicap, will feature Universal Story, trained by Jennie Candlish. This filly has risen six pounds following her recent victories at Newcastle and Southwell, where she demonstrated a notable improvement. Her latest win was particularly impressive, as she crossed the finish line with ease, suggesting that she may have even more to offer in her next outing.

Tamaris, who has not raced since his victory at Wolverhampton in April, will also be in contention. Although he has faced challenges during his absence, this accomplished gelding has a proven track record of success. Under the guidance of the in-form James Owen, Tamaris cannot be overlooked as he attempts to overcome the gap since his last race.

Among the other competitors, Alfie D stands out as the best of the rest, making this a competitive race to watch.

Brighton Features Challengers and Rising Stars

At Brighton, the 4:45 PM JenningsBet In Andover Handicap sees Dinah Myte attempt to defy a six-pound increase in her weight. Trained by John Gallagher, this filly recently celebrated her first win over a mile at Ffos Las. Despite her earlier form being less than stellar, her significant improvement in South Wales positions her as a strong contender. A repeat of her last performance could see her in contention for victory.

In this race, the top-rated Princess Pw remains a ten-race maiden but drops to what appears to be a winnable mark. Clipsham Noble, a previous course and distance scorer, is also expected to perform well.

As the evening progresses, the spotlight will be on the 6:00 PM feature race at Southwell, where Lady Wingalong competes in the Arc £1Million Bonus Has £150K Increase! Fillies’ Handicap. This six-year-old horse, trained by David Evans, has demonstrated her capabilities with six wins from 32 starts, including a notable victory at Newbury last August. Her consistent performance makes her a key competitor in this race.

Noel Fox, who recently transferred to Jennie Candlish’s stable, is also expected to be a notable competitor, having shown signs of returning to form. He finished fourth at Haydock and narrowly lost by half a length at Southwell last month.

Among the less experienced horses, Soho Square stands out as an intriguing prospect, having only raced three times. This will be her debut for trainer Ed Bethell, after moving from James Fanshawe’s yard.

Other races on the Brighton card include the 2:45 PM where Roman Spring aims to build on recent course and distance success, and the 3:15 PM EBF Restricted Maiden Stakes, featuring Ciarrai Abu, who seeks his first win on stable debut for Harry Eustace.

With a variety of promising horses and competitive fields, Tuesday’s races at Brighton and Southwell are set to offer excitement for racing fans. Stay tuned for updates and results from these thrilling events.
