BREAKING: Katoomba poet David Brooks has just been awarded the prestigious Prime Minister’s Literary Award for Poetry. Announced earlier today, the judges praised Brooks’ “abundance of finely observed poems about rural life in the Blue Mountains” that resonate with his deep passion for animal welfare and environmental conservation.
