BREAKING NEWS: South Sydney Rabbitohs winger Tyrone Munro has been charged with multiple domestic violence offenses, following an alleged incident earlier this year. The 20-year-old was arrested on October 13, 2025, and is scheduled to appear in court on October 30.

The charges come after a woman reported she had been assaulted by her partner in April 2025, prompting an investigation by officers from the Auburn Police Area Command. Munro faces serious allegations, including assault occasioning actual bodily harm, stalking/intimidation, and common assault, all related to domestic circumstances.

In a statement, the South Sydney Rabbitohs confirmed their awareness of the situation and emphasized their commitment to addressing such serious allegations. “The Rabbitohs take all allegations of domestic violence very seriously and will take appropriate action if the allegations and charges are proven,” the club stated.

The Rabbitohs have also notified the NRL’s integrity unit, which typically implements a no-fault stand-down policy for players facing domestic violence charges. Munro is currently not part of any post-season representative teams, minimizing immediate repercussions for the club.

New South Wales Police reported that the investigation began after the woman made a formal complaint about the alleged assault. Officers arrested Munro following inquiries into the incident.

The serious nature of these charges has sparked conversations about domestic violence within sports communities, highlighting the need for accountability and support for victims.

As the legal process unfolds, all eyes will be on the upcoming court date, with potential implications for Munro’s career and the South Sydney Rabbitohs as they navigate this troubling situation.
