treat-dreams-ice-cream-transforms-into-pavilion-food-hall-by-2026

The popular ice cream shop, Treat Dreams, located at 22965 Woodward Avenue in Ferndale, Michigan, is set to undergo a significant transformation. By early 2026, the establishment will evolve into a vibrant food hall called the Pavilion, featuring multiple dining concepts. This development was confirmed in a recent report by The Detroit News.

The Pavilion will include four distinct restaurants and bars, adding a diverse array of culinary options to the community. Among the featured concepts is a restaurant serving Asian cuisine, which will offer dumplings crafted by chef Jared Bobkin. Additionally, acclaimed chef Josie Clemens will introduce her culinary expertise to the new venue. Another exciting addition is a nonalcoholic beverage bar named Cosmic Roots, created by musician Emily Infinity and entrepreneur Isabel Cali. Furthermore, a Venezuelan food truck will contribute to the Pavilion’s offerings, enhancing the variety of food available to patrons.

Despite the construction of the Pavilion, Treat Dreams will continue its operations uninterrupted. The outdoor food hall concept will feature food carts positioned behind the ice cream shop, collectively creating a lively dining atmosphere for visitors. This location is conveniently situated near popular establishments such as Culantro Peruvian Restaurant and Nine Kitchen + Bar.

Treat Dreams, founded by Scott Moloney in August 2010, has established itself as a beloved fixture in Ferndale. Since its inception, the company has expanded to several locations, including Midtown, Madison Heights, and Grosse Pointe Woods. In addition to the ice cream shop, Treat Dreams operates a food truck known as The Dream Machine, which serves a variety of sweet treats, including single scoop ice creams, sandwiches, pints, and brownies.

The announcement of the Pavilion was made on October 15, 2023. Currently, there is no official statement regarding this development on Treat Dreams’ website.
