Approximately 150 homeowners gathered for a vibrant celebration featuring cake, live music, and a lavish buffet lunch, marking two decades since the opening of its beloved clubhouse.
The event, organized by the Brookfield Homeowners Committee and the Social Committee, showcased the community’s spirit and commitment to togetherness. Residents indulged in a delightful afternoon of festivities, including speeches and a sit-down meal accompanied by champagne.
Two of the community’s most treasured residents, Jean Clarke, aged 102, and Sylvia Whitehead, aged 87, were honored with certificates and stunning bouquets of Singapore orchids for their unwavering dedication to the community over the past two decades.
Teresa Butcher, vice president of the Homeowners Committee, emphasized the success of the event, stating, “All the feedback has been very positive … we’ve had nothing but congratulations from the homeowners on the event. They said it was fantastic.” Butcher added that the event was particularly important due to an impending change in management, ensuring that this milestone was not overlooked.
The clubhouse at Brookfield, often referred to as the community’s “beating heart,” boasts a range of resort-style amenities, including a gym, indoor heated pool, and a bowling green. This cherished space has fostered a vibrant community where residents enjoy swimming, socializing, and engaging in various activities.
