kevin-federline-reveals-sons-fears-for-britney-spears-safety

Concerns about the well-being of pop star Britney Spears have surfaced following comments made by her ex-husband, Kevin Federline. In a recent interview with Piers Morgan, Federline revealed that their sons, Sean Preston, 20, and Jayden Federline, 19, have chosen to limit their contact with Spears due to fears for her safety.

During the episode of *Uncensored*, Federline shared, “[Britney] saw one of my sons one day this year, and he decided not to go back over there because of what he saw.” He added that Jayden had visited her multiple times but stopped seeing her in recent months “because of the situation.” Federline described their children as “terrified” and expressing concern about their mother, stating, “They don’t know how to help because of what all of this has cost.”

When questioned about the reasons behind their reluctance to visit Spears, Federline acknowledged that the details are personal to their sons. He remarked, “That’s not my story to tell. That’s my sons’ story to tell if they decide to.” He emphasized the gravity of their concerns, recalling a moment when one of his sons expressed, “I’m afraid mum is going to die.”

Federline’s comments come on the heels of the release of his memoir, *You Thought You Knew*, which debuted on October 10, 2023. In the book, he alleges a range of troubling behaviors by Spears, including substance abuse during her time as a breastfeeding mother and instances of violence towards their sons. He claimed that one incident involved Spears allegedly hitting Sean Preston and another involved her expressing a wish that her children were dead.

Additionally, Federline accused Spears of bizarre behavior leading up to her infamous head-shaving incident in 2007 and alleged infidelity during their marriage, which lasted from 2004 to 2007. He described episodes where she supposedly watched their sons sleep while holding a knife, which he characterized as shocking.

Spears has not publicly responded to these claims but did not return a request for comment from *Page Six*. A representative for Spears previously dismissed Federline’s memoir as a “cash grab,” asserting that he profits from her experiences. The statement mentioned, “Sadly, it comes after child support has ended with Kevin.”

In the ongoing discourse around her relationship with her sons, Spears has taken to social media to express her distress. On October 15, 2023, she wrote on X (formerly Twitter), “The constant gaslighting from ex-husband is extremely hurtful and exhausting. I have always pleaded and screamed to have a life with my boys.” She indicated that one son had only seen her for “45 minutes in the past year,” while the other had only managed “four visits” in the last five years.

As the situation develops, the impact of these familial tensions on Spears and her children remains a point of public interest. The emotional toll on the family underscores the complexities of navigating personal struggles in the public eye.
