Rush Bowls officially opened its latest location in Tempe, Arizona, on October 25, 2023. The grand opening event took place at the ASU Fulton Center, located at 777 S. College Ave. The day featured a ribbon-cutting ceremony, followed by a series of celebrations aimed at introducing local patrons to the brand’s offerings.

The festivities included free bowls for the first 100 guests, live DJ entertainment, and complimentary samples of La Colombe cold brew coffee, house-made protein Rush Bites, and fruit-infused lemonade. Attendees also had the chance to participate in raffles and giveaways, including tickets to Billie Eilish’s upcoming concert at the Phoenix Arena and a one-month membership to Hotworx that comes with a Bala workout basket.

Local entrepreneurs Matt and Donna DeConzo own and operate the new Tempe location and are leading Rush Bowls’ expansion in Arizona through a five-store development agreement. Their second location is set to open soon in Scottsdale’s Pima Crossing shopping center, with further plans for additional stores in northwest Phoenix and beyond.

In a statement, franchise owner Donna DeConzo expressed excitement about serving the local community. “Matt and I became Rush Bowls fans the first time we tried it. We can’t wait to serve the Sun Devil community in Tempe with wholesome, delicious meals they’ll love as much as we do,” she said. “My go-to is an açaí or fruit bowl, and as a selective eater, I appreciate being able to modify the base to suit my preferences. What stands out is how fresh everything is—it’s all blended to order right in front of you.”

The founder and CEO of Rush Bowls, Andrew Pudalov, praised the DeConzos for their enthusiasm and commitment to quality. “Their energy and connection to the community perfectly align with our mission,” he remarked.
