UPDATE: Spooky festivities erupted at RG Magees on October 31, 2023, as the local dining spot transformed into a Halloween haven. Following the Gazette meeting, the lively atmosphere attracted diners, including an amusing twist featuring staff costumes that delighted patrons.

As the night unfolded, a young woman caught the eye of onlookers, appearing to channel the famous musician Pitbull. However, a closer look revealed that Oreca Pentecost, a witty server, had donned a bald cap and sunglasses to impersonate her boss, Ryan Hopkins. “I wanted to be that dancing wolfman from TikTok,” Oreca shared with laughter. “But Ryan said no. So I asked, ‘Can I dress up as you?’ and he said, ‘Knock yourself out.'”

This lighthearted exchange showcases the strong camaraderie at RG Magees, where employees feel like family. As Oreca served drinks in an outfit that mirrored Ryan’s, patrons couldn’t help but feel the infectious joy of the Halloween spirit.

Adding to the charm of the evening, a little girl dressed as Sally from The Nightmare Before Christmas added to the festivities. With a red wig, blue face paint, and a patchwork dress, she darted through the tables, her trick-or-treat bucket in hand. Her playful scare brought smiles to the faces of those dining, and she proudly displayed her “Halloween haul” from her black cat bucket.

The combination of laughter, creative costumes, and the warm ambiance of RG Magees made for a perfect Halloween experience. With great food and a vibrant atmosphere, it was clear that this local gem was the place to be on Halloween night.

As the night continues, the community spirit at RG Magees proves that even in a bustling bar, moments of connection and laughter are what truly make the holiday special. For those looking for a fun and festive atmosphere, RG Magees has set the bar high for Halloween celebrations.
