UPDATE: The second annual LMA/Feed the World Australian Muslim Community Golf Day is set to take place at Brighton Lakes Golf Course in Moorebank on December 13, 2025. This urgent event aims to raise crucial funds for humanitarian efforts in crisis zones, including Gaza, and promises to be bigger than last year’s inaugural tournament.

The event kicks off with Dhuhur prayer at 1:00 PM, followed by a 1:30 PM shotgun start, where teams of four will compete in a friendly Ambrose format. Under the theme “Chipping In For Change,” participants will transform their golfing skills into support for those in need, turning each drive, chip, and putt into a meaningful contribution.

Last year, the inaugural golf day attracted 80 players and raised an impressive $150,000, setting a high bar for community impact. Organizers are striving for an even larger turnout this year, with a goal of up to 120 players.

“It’s competitive in the best way, and anchored by a shared intention to help others,” said chief organizer Salim Allouche. The event will again close the course to the public, ensuring a welcoming environment for all participants.

Registration is now open, with team entry priced at $450 and individual players able to join a team for $120. Each entry includes green fees, a golf cart, and access to a post-round player function.

Awards will be presented for top teams, including honors for Longest Drives and Nearest the Pin. Additionally, a streamlined fundraising auction will enhance support for families overseas.

Community interest is skyrocketing following last year’s success, and places are expected to fill quickly. Prospective players and sponsors are encouraged to secure their spots via the LMA’s official platforms.

Avid golfer and early-bird sponsor Mohammed Kheir, founder of MK Allan Lawyers, expressed his excitement. “I am delighted to support the tournament as it provides the opportunity to turn a great day of golf into real support for families who need it most,” he stated.

With just weeks to go, the countdown to December 13 is on. Participants are reminded to arrive early to check in and prepare for the day. This is more than just a golf tournament; it’s a chance to unite fitness, fellowship, and purpose for a noble cause.

Make sure to bring your best swing and intentions because every stroke counts on this impactful day. Don’t miss out—register now and join the movement to make a difference!
