Gosford Cinema will host a special film screening on November 21, inviting audiences to experience the cult classic that has captivated fans for nearly 50 years. Directed by Jim Sharman, the film features iconic performances by Tim Curry, Susan Sarandon, and Barry Bostwick. This unique event combines elements of sci-fi parody, glam-rock spectacle, and exuberant camp, creating an unforgettable communal experience.

The screening of this beloved film reflects the commitment of Fun Haus Factory to foster cultural engagement within the community. Attendees are encouraged to dress up, participate in call-backs, and enjoy themed cocktails during happy hour starting at 18:00. Beau’s Burgers will provide a nostalgic food experience, with the film set to begin promptly at 19:00. A lockout will be enforced, ensuring that all guests arrive on time.

On November 22, Odd Socks will energize Gosford with a vibrant dance event that celebrates individuality and self-expression. This quarterly gathering invites participants to embrace their true selves, free from societal expectations. With a focus on authenticity, attendees are encouraged to wear mismatched socks, symbolizing joy and freedom.

Curated by local DJ Kate Doherty, the lineup features a diverse array of DJs who represent various electronic music genres, including techno, house, minimal, electro, and drum and bass. Notable performers include Paula Temple and DJ Sprinkles, alongside Marc Demo, a seasoned performer with over 20 years of experience in the underground scene, and Matt Vaughan, known for his work at Sydney’s iconic queer party, Loose Ends.

Doors for Odd Socks will open at 18:00, with a $15 cocktail happy hour and food offerings from Beau’s Burgers. This 18+ event promises to be an inclusive space, welcoming everyone regardless of background or identity.

Both events at Fun Haus aim to create a sense of community while celebrating the joy of artistic expression. Whether through the nostalgia of cinema or the liberating energy of dance, attendees can look forward to an engaging and memorable experience.
