URGENT UPDATE: Two men are now in custody following a dramatic police chase through Perth’s northern suburbs that unfolded earlier today. The suspects, both from Swan View, were apprehended after allegedly ramming a police vehicle during an intense pursuit that began around 9:20 AM in Middle Swan.

New reports confirm that police first attempted to stop a black Holden Colorado linked to a prior incident. Instead of complying, the vehicle sped away, leading officers through several neighborhoods including Ellenbrook, Henley Brook, and Brabham. During the chase, the Colorado reportedly reversed into a police car, escalating the situation significantly.

Eventually, the Colorado was abandoned on Partridge Street in Brabham, where the driver fled and switched to an allegedly stolen Toyota Hilux. This second vehicle then led authorities on another chase through Midvale and High Wycombe. Police Air Wing tracked the Hilux as it sped through the city, culminating in a dramatic arrest on Roe Highway in Maida Vale.

Authorities have confirmed that a 32-year-old man faces a staggering 21 charges, including reckless driving to evade police, possessing stolen property, and endangering lives. His accomplice, a 31-year-old man, is charged with vehicle theft and driving without a license.

Both men are set to appear in Midland Magistrates Court today, where they will face the full extent of their charges. As the investigation continues, police urge anyone with further information about the incident to come forward.

This high-stakes chase highlights ongoing concerns about reckless driving and public safety in urban areas. As law enforcement intensifies efforts to crack down on such dangerous behavior, community members are left grappling with the impacts of these incidents on their neighborhoods.
