Marriott International has officially launched its new collection brand, Series by Marriott, in India, marking its global debut with 26 openings. This initiative, in collaboration with Concept Hospitality Private Limited and its flagship brand, The Fern Hotels & Resorts, aims to provide regionally rooted yet globally connected hospitality across the country.
The launch was announced on November 20, 2025, and is part of Marriott Bonvoy’s extensive portfolio of over 30 hotel brands. With these new properties, Marriott adds more than 1,900 rooms to its offerings, enhancing its presence in key Indian destinations. This expansion is seen as a significant milestone in Marriott’s global strategy.
Celebrating Regional Character and Sustainable Hospitality
The Series by Marriott brand is designed to cater to the needs of ‘global domestic’ travelers, focusing on comfort, dependable service, and experiences that resonate with local cultures. Each property under The Fern Hotels & Resorts, Series by Marriott, emphasizes sustainable practices while showcasing the unique charm of its surroundings.
Kiran Andicot, Senior Vice President for South Asia at Marriott International, expressed enthusiasm for the launch, stating, “India’s vibrant domestic travel market and growing demand for dependable, affordable stays make it the ideal launchpad for this brand.” He highlighted that the openings represent a broader rollout, with over 100 additional launches planned for the coming year.
The initial phase encompasses hotels located in 23 cities, including major urban centers and leisure destinations. Properties such as The Fern Residency in Ahmedabad and the luxurious Fern Seaside Resort in Daman are among the new offerings, each crafted to meet diverse travel purposes—from business to leisure.
Innovative Guest Experience and Amenities
Guests at The Fern Hotels & Resorts, Series by Marriott can expect a range of tailored amenities designed to enhance their stay. Notable features include a “Grab n Go Breakfast” for early departures, recognition kits for solo female travelers, and evening turndown services that include chocolates and personalized messages.
The commitment to guest comfort extends to health-oriented offerings, such as providing soaked almonds and cumin-infused water for a restful night’s sleep. According to Suhail Kannampilly, Managing Director of Concept Hospitality, the response to the new brand has been overwhelmingly positive, affirming the alignment with their sustainability goals and Marriott’s robust operational systems.
All properties under this new banner participate in the Marriott Bonvoy loyalty program, allowing members to earn points for stays at these hotels and others in the Marriott portfolio. The program provides a personalized and contactless experience, enhancing the overall travel experience for guests.
This launch of Series by Marriott not only signifies Marriott’s commitment to expanding its global footprint but also reflects its focus on adapting to local markets in meaningful ways. With its unique blend of sustainability and regional authenticity, the brand aims to redefine hospitality standards in India, making it an exciting prospect for both domestic and international travelers.
