On November 21, 2025, Tim, a U.S. adventure enthusiast, and his friend Bubble joined local host Luna to embark on a journey that intertwines thrilling activities with profound historical significance. Their adventure kicked off at the stunning Maolan National Nature Reserve, where they trekked through the breathtaking Karst primeval forest and engaged in rope rappelling, all while reflecting on the sacrifices made by Chinese soldiers and civilians during the war.
The group then traveled to the historic Limingguan Pass in Libo County, where they learned about the extraordinary resilience of Chinese troops who stood united against aggression. This site serves as a powerful reminder of the region’s history and bravery.
Their final stop was the iconic Shenhe Bridge, known as “the last bridge.” Here, they discovered the harrowing story of Major Frank A. Gleason, a U.S. Army officer who heroically destroyed the bridge to halt the advance of Japanese troops.
