Nicole Kidman embraced a charitable cause this Thanksgiving by participating in the Boulevard Bolt in Nashville. The actress, who is currently navigating her first holiday season following her separation from musician Keith Urban, joined their daughters, Sunday Rose, 17, and Faith, 14, along with friends for the five-mile event. Kidman shared a photo of the group wearing matching festive jumpers on Instagram, captioning it: “So thankful… xx.”
The separation between Kidman and Urban was confirmed on September 29, 2023, after nearly two decades of marriage. According to People, Kidman filed for divorce shortly after the announcement, marking a significant shift in her personal life. In a candid moment during an interview with Ariana Grande for Interview magazine, Kidman expressed that she is “hanging in there” as she adjusts to these changes.
Supporting Family and Friends
Kidman revealed that she and Urban had been living separately since the beginning of summer, as reported by E! News. Within the same interview, she highlighted the importance of her support network, particularly from her co-stars in the upcoming film Practical Magic 2. Kidman described the filming experience in London over the summer as enjoyable, noting the strong bonds she shares with her castmates, including Sandra Bullock and Maisie Williams.
“I produce and then star in a show called Lioness, which I’m doing right now, but we shot the sequel to Practical Magic over the summer in London, which was so fun,” Kidman said. She emphasized that despite the demanding nature of filming, her relationships with her co-stars provided a sense of safety and love.
Empowering the Next Generation
In her conversation with Grande, Kidman also touched on parenting in the digital age. She mentioned that her daughters possess a resilience that she did not have growing up, particularly concerning social media challenges. “I’m raising teenage girls right now, and it’s fascinating,” she stated. “They have an armour that we didn’t get, or that I certainly didn’t get, because there was no social media. The very, very young now have already gone, ‘We know exactly how to handle this.’ They don’t take a lot of things personally.”
As Kidman continues to adapt to her new circumstances, her commitment to family and community remains evident. Participating in the Boulevard Bolt not only allowed her to give back during the festive season but also provided a moment of connection with her daughters and friends, reinforcing her strong support system during a pivotal time in her life.
