The home of Philadelphia Eagles offensive coordinator Kevin Patullo was vandalized with eggs early Saturday morning, following the team’s disappointing 24-15 defeat to the Chicago Bears on December 1, 2023. The Moorestown Police Department confirmed the incident, which occurred shortly after the game.
A video circulating on social media depicted several individuals throwing objects at Patullo’s residence. While initial online reports suggested that rocks were being used, a police representative clarified that the projectiles were indeed eggs. The investigation into the incident is currently ongoing, with authorities working to identify those involved.
Patullo, 44, has faced mounting criticism as the Eagles’ offense struggles this season. Despite boasting one of the highest payrolls in the NFL, the team ranks 24th in total yards with an average of 304.8 yards per game. Furthermore, they sit at 23rd in passing yards (196.3 ypg), 22nd in rushing (108.5 ypg), and 19th in scoring (22.5 ppg).
The Eagles have lost their last two games, bringing their record to 8-4 as they approach their Week 14 matchup against the Los Angeles Chargers on December 8, 2023. Coach Nick Sirianni expressed his support for Patullo during a conference call with reporters, stating that he would continue to serve as the Eagles’ play caller despite the ongoing evaluations of the team’s performance.
Patullo has been a part of the Eagles’ coaching staff since Sirianni took over as head coach. He was promoted to offensive coordinator this offseason, succeeding Kellen Moore, who is now the head coach of the New Orleans Saints.
As the investigation unfolds, the Eagles organization faces a critical period of reflection and potential change in response to their recent performance and the public backlash.
