AC/DC arrived in Perth on Tuesday ahead of their Perth shows.
AC/DC has arrived in Perth, the hometown of their legendary late frontman, Bon Scott, in preparation for two highly anticipated concerts at Optus Stadium. The iconic Australian rock band touched down on Tuesday, bringing excitement to fans eager for their live performances on November 16 and November 20.
The group, consisting of lead guitarist Angus Young, vocalist Brian Johnson, rhythm guitarist Stevie Young, drummer Matt Laug, and bassist Chris Chaney, landed via private jet and were met by dedicated fans at the airport. Laug made a noticeable entrance, sporting a red cap and blue sunglasses, while the rest of the band donned casual attire, perfectly fitting for Perth’s sunny weather.
Upon their arrival, Matt Laug quickly lit a cigarette as the band made their way to a luxury riverside hotel, where they will be staying during their time in the city. The first concert is set to begin at 20:30 on Thursday, and attendees can expect a thrilling set list featuring classic hits such as “Highway to Hell,” “Thunderstruck,” and “T.N.T.” Supporting acts for the concerts include Amyl and The Sniffers and Southern River Band, promising a night filled with high-energy performances.
The Power Up tour commenced in Melbourne on November 12, 2023, and has since received rave reviews following successful shows in Sydney and Adelaide. Following the Perth concerts, AC/DC will continue their tour with two performances in Brisbane on December 14 and December 18.
Originating in 1973, AC/DC held their first-ever concert at Chequers Nightclub in Sydney on December 31. Over the decades, they have established themselves as one of the most influential rock bands in history, amassing record sales of over 200 million albums worldwide. As they prepare to take the stage once more, fans can expect a celebration of decades of rock music and an unforgettable experience.
