Prince Harry made a surprise appearance on *The Late Show With Stephen Colbert* on Wednesday night, delivering light-hearted jokes aimed at former US President Donald Trump. The Duke of Sussex participated in a comedic sketch where he auditioned for a fictional Hallmark movie titled “Christmas Prince Saves Christmas in Nebraska.”

During the segment, Harry humorously wandered around the studio, claiming he was lost while searching for his audition. When Colbert questioned why a real prince would be interested in such films, Harry responded, “You Americans are obsessed with Christmas movies, and you’re clearly obsessed with royalty, so why not?” This playful exchange showcased Harry’s ability to blend humor with commentary on American culture.

Colbert, known for his sharp wit, countered Harry’s suggestion of an obsession with royalty. In a cheeky retort, Harry remarked, “Really? I hear you elected a king,” referencing the protests against Trump’s administration. This comment elicited laughter from the audience, highlighting Harry’s knack for blending humor with social commentary.

The sketch took a humorous turn when Harry jokingly mentioned CBS’s recent settlement with Trump, stating that he would “do anything” to land the role. He added, “I’ll record a self-tape, I’ll fly myself to an audition, settle a baseless lawsuit with the White House – all the things you people in TV do.” Colbert, quick to respond, said, “Hey, I didn’t do any of those things,” to which Harry cleverly remarked, “Maybe that’s why you’re cancelled.”

As the sketch progressed, it transformed into a festive scene with holiday decorations and music, as Harry encouraged Colbert to “just believe.” Colbert then announced that Harry had officially secured the title of “Late Show prince of Christmas,” resulting in cheers from the audience.

This appearance marked Harry’s second time on *The Late Show*, following his visit in January 2023 to promote his memoir, *Spare*. His previous appearance set a two-year viewership record and gained significant media attention. The announcement of the latest guest spot was also shared on social media by the Duchess of Sussex, who teased the sketch in her Instagram story.

Since stepping back from royal duties in January 2020, Harry and his wife, Meghan Markle, have been raising their children in Montecito, California. Their transition has been closely followed by the media, and their playful public engagements continue to generate interest worldwide.
