urgent-recall-issued-for-tom-luke-low-carb-snackaballs

Several batches of Tom & Luke’s Low Carb Snackaballs have been recalled due to the discovery of plastic in the products. This urgent action affects both the hazelnut and raspberry flavors sold in Coles stores across Australia, as announced by Smartfoods Limited.

The affected 112g hazelnut Snackaballs have date markings of 3 SEP 2026 and 11 SEP 2026, while the raspberry options are marked with 11 SEP 2026, 15 SEP 2026, and 16 OCT 2026. These products were available for purchase in stores and online, prompting widespread concern among consumers.

According to an alert issued by Food Standards Australia and New Zealand, “Food products containing plastic may cause illness/injury if consumed.” The organization strongly advises consumers to refrain from eating the recalled products.

Customers who have purchased the affected Snackaballs can return them for a full refund. For those who may be concerned about their health after consuming the product, seeking medical advice is recommended.

As food safety remains a critical issue, this recall serves as a reminder for consumers to remain vigilant about the products they purchase. The presence of foreign materials in food items highlights the ongoing need for stringent quality controls in the food industry.
