urgent-wattle-range-grants-program-closes-january-5-2026

UPDATE: Wattle Range Council is issuing an urgent call to local community, sport, and recreation groups to apply for the second round of its vital Community Financial Assistance Grants before the deadline on January 5, 2026. This funding opportunity is crucial for bolstering services, events, and local clubs that form the backbone of a vibrant community.

Wattle Range Mayor Des Noll emphasizes the importance of these grants, stating they can significantly impact grassroots organizations. “Whether it’s a laptop for a community group or upgrading equipment for the next sporting season,” Mayor Noll said, “this funding could help sustain our grassroots groups and the many volunteers that support them.”

Each year, Wattle Range Council allocates approximately $55,000 to support local clubs and volunteer organizations. Grants of up to $2,000 are offered on a dollar-for-dollar basis, available in two key funding categories: the Community Financial Assistance Grants for community services and events, and the Sport & Recreation Financial Assistance Grants aimed at enhancing local sport and recreation facilities, programs, and events.

Local groups are encouraged to think creatively about how even a small project or purchase could make a big difference in their operations. Mayor Noll invites all eligible organizations to seize this opportunity: “We invite all eligible organisations to apply and strengthen the future of the Wattle Range community.”

The clock is ticking, and applications will close on Monday, January 5, 2026. For detailed guidelines and to apply, visit the Financial Assistance Grants section on the Wattle Range Council website. Don’t miss this chance to secure funding that can transform your community initiatives!

This is a developing story, and we will continue to provide updates as the application deadline approaches.
