URGENT UPDATE: The Woodford Folk Festival has just unveiled its highly anticipated programme for the 38th edition, set to ignite creativity and connection from December 27, 2025. With over 1,500 opportunities for participation, this year’s festival promises to be an unforgettable experience for attendees.
Festival-goers will flock to Woodfordia’s vibrant festival village, covering 500 acres of regenerated farmland, transforming it into a bustling arts community for six exhilarating days and nights. The festival’s music lineup is already creating buzz, headlined by acclaimed duo Electric Fields, who represented Australia at Eurovision 2024 with their unique blend of electronic soul and Anangu language.
Country music icon Troy Cassar-Daley will bring his 45 Golden Guitars, while three-time ARIA winner Sarah Blasko showcases her renowned indie artistry. Rising talents like ARIA-winning Budjerah, powerful Indigenous rapper BARKAA, and beloved singer-songwriter Lior are also set to perform, alongside indie folk favorites Hollow Coves.
International guests will enrich the festival experience, including South Africa’s Msaki, Canadian virtuoso Richard Wood, and Scottish trio Talisk. The festival isn’t just about music; it features daring performances like triple-re trapeze from The Stunned Mullets, traditional acts from Papua New Guinea’s Ambum Cultural Group, and comedy from duo Otto & Astrid.
The immersive programme also includes workshops, dance parties, circus skills, and a live-action teen game. Children won’t be left out, as the Tinlids Children’s Festival offers a full schedule of creative activities, including dirtgirlworld.
With around 100,000 attendees expected, including 25,000 campers enjoying the stars, options range from Tent City to an upgraded bell-tent village from Pitch Luxury. The festival wraps up with traditional New Year’s Eve celebrations, leading into the Renewal Ceremony on January 1.
Festival Director Amanda Jackes describes Woodford as “a village of play, curiosity and renewal.” Programme Manager Courtney Wild adds that audiences will “discover new sounds and new perspectives.”
