Among the standout performers was 7-year-old Lakey Rae Bell, who captured first place in the highly competitive U8 mixed division. In waves that were at times triple overhead for her, Lakey exhibited extraordinary skill and composure, even defeating her male counterparts. She also secured an impressive fourth place in the U10 girls division, showcasing her potential in the sport.
Coco Spierings, just eight years old, also made waves in her first major surf competition. Leading her U10 girls final until the final moments, Coco finished a close second after being narrowly edged out by a last-second wave, demonstrating her competitive spirit and promising future.
