Yahoo HK Best Brand Awards 2025 crowns over 20 Hong Kong’s most beloved brands that have truly connected with Hong Kong consumers and demonstrated outstanding market influence in a rapidly evolving digital landscape.
Yahoo has unveiled the winners of the Yahoo HK Best Brand Awards 2025, an annual event that recognizes over 20 brands for their strong connections with consumers in Hong Kong. The awards ceremony, held on December 16, 2025, at the Hyatt Regency Hong Kong, highlighted brands that have demonstrated considerable market influence in an evolving digital landscape.
The event brought together prominent figures from various sectors, including brand leaders, industry partners, and government representatives, to honour brands that resonate with the people of Hong Kong. The ceremony was officiated by Joseph L.H. Chan, JP, Under Secretary for Financial Services and the Treasury of the Government of the Hong Kong SAR, alongside Yahoo’s leadership team.
Recognition Across Diverse Industries
This year’s awards encompass a wide range of sectors, with winners spanning 13 industries, including finance, transport, retail, and consumer services. Notable recognitions included Standard Chartered Bank, AsiaWorld–Expo, and MTR Shops, reflecting the diversity of brands integral to daily life in Hong Kong.
In celebration of Yahoo Hong Kong’s 30th anniversary, the awards spotlight brands that have cultivated trust through innovation and customer-centric experiences. Originally launched in 2002 as the Yahoo Emotive Awards, the program has evolved to focus on brand influence and long-term impact. Reintroduced last year as the Yahoo HK Best Brand Awards, the refreshed format continues its legacy while expanding its criteria.
A Rigorous Judging Process
The evaluation process for the Yahoo HK Best Brand Awards 2025 involved a three-stage judging framework designed to assess brand performance comprehensively. Initially, Yahoo utilized AI-powered analysis of publicly available data, examining brands on several dimensions, including innovation, technology leadership, sustainability, cultural relevance, and emotional storytelling.
This was followed by a public voting phase, where over 217,000 votes were collected from consumers who shared their preferences based on personal experiences and emotional connections with the brands. In the final stage, a panel of industry experts and academics evaluated the shortlisted brands, focusing on criteria such as brand distinctiveness and market influence.
In total, 102 brands were nominated across various industries this year, showcasing the competitive landscape of brand recognition in Hong Kong. The complete list of award winners is available through Yahoo’s official channels.
“Resonance has been the defining theme this year. The most impactful messages genuinely speak to the people of Hong Kong and remain with them throughout various life moments,” stated Matthew Chan, Head of Advertising Business for Yahoo Hong Kong and Taiwan. He emphasized that the winning brands are woven into the fabric of everyday life, building relationships through trust and relevance over time.
The Yahoo HK Best Brand Awards 2025 not only celebrate the brands that have made significant strides in the market but also highlight the importance of ongoing engagement and emotional connection with consumers.
