URGENT UPDATE: The iconic Tamworth Country Music Festival (TCMF) is poised to make a significant impact once again, as sales of its signature Stetson-style hats and limited-edition pins aim to raise over $50,000 for Sora Community Services in 2026. Kicking off on January 16, this year’s festival seeks to replicate last year’s success in supporting those in need across Tamworth and New England.
Sora Community Services provides critical assistance in homelessness, domestic and family violence, and family support. Chief Operating Officer Catherine Wood expressed enthusiasm for the continued partnership, stating, “The continued partnership will assist Sora to more effectively support those in need during 2026.” Wood emphasized the importance of collaborative efforts to deliver impactful outcomes for vulnerable communities.
The funds raised through the sale of festival hats and pins will enable Sora to “act quickly when supporting someone escaping domestic violence or to keep those in need in housing, preventing them from becoming homeless,” according to Wood. Last year, the generous contributions from festival attendees allowed Sora to enhance its community impact significantly.
Festivalgoers can purchase these popular souvenirs at the Toyota Zone on Fitzroy Street in Tamworth during the 10-day TCMF. This initiative not only supports individuals in crisis but also fosters a sense of community among festival attendees.
