Vietnam’s CT Group has made significant advancements in technology, unveiling two major projects in the fields of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV) and the Low Altitude Economy (LAE) on December 29, 2025. The announcements were made at a prestigious event held at Hanoi’s Ho Guom Opera House, attended by over 600 distinguished guests including government officials, scientists, and corporate leaders.

The initiative includes the establishment of the UAV ASEAN Super Headquarter Union and the ASEAN’s Largest Low Altitude Economy Center. These projects aim to position Vietnam at the forefront of technological innovation in the region.

Strategic Investments for Future Growth

CT Group’s commitment to these projects is underscored by a significant investment of approximately USD 2 billion over the next ten years for the UAV ASEAN Super Headquarter Union. This ambitious project will serve as a “Technology City,” featuring manufacturing plants, research institutes, and training facilities. It is designed to enhance Vietnam’s capabilities in high-tech industries, integrating technology development with national security and economic growth.

Mr. Nguyen Quoc Dung, a representative of CT Group, emphasized the importance of this investment, stating it represents not just an economic endeavor but a strategic move to enhance Vietnam’s position in the global tech landscape.

CT Group has achieved a remarkable localization rate of 87.5% across six core UAV technology groups, with Electronics and Semiconductor Technology and AI & Software reaching 95% autonomy. This technical capability positions the company as a competitive player on the world stage.

Innovative Technologies and Market Expansion

At the launch event, CT UAV showcased several breakthrough technologies, including the “Magic Brush,” which enhances flight stability with different propeller configurations, and autonomous swarm firefighting systems. These innovations are set to exceed current market standards and reflect CT Group’s commitment to continuous improvement and adaptation.

Alongside these developments, CT Group has announced a VND 6,000 billion investment in the ASEAN’s Largest Low Altitude Economy Center, strategically located near Terminal T3 at Tan Son Nhat Airport. This center is expected to facilitate the development of over 600 high-tech products and services, driving Vietnam’s ability to attract talent and export technology on a global scale.

The Global Command Center at the LAE will manage essential digital infrastructure and support research and innovation across various sectors. This initiative aims to cover applications in over 20 industries and 93 sub-sectors, further establishing Vietnam as a leader in this emerging market.

In a statement to Bloomberg, Tran Kim Chung, Chairman of CT Group, highlighted the company’s readiness to scale production and expand its market reach. He noted, “We have proven our capacity through a system of five existing plants and by mastering core technologies. Our commitment to long-term partnerships underscores the seriousness of our endeavor.”

CT Group’s achievements in 2025 include a landmark export order of 5,000 UAVs to South Korea and strategic partnerships for Low Altitude Economy development in Indonesia, as well as market entry into the U.S., Singapore, and the Middle East.

With these groundbreaking projects, CT Group is not only showcasing Vietnam’s technological prowess but is also establishing the country as a key player in the UAV and LAE sectors on the international stage. The strong support from local authorities, especially from the Tay Ninh Provincial People’s Committee, further reinforces the project’s potential for success.

Doan Trung Kien, Vice Chairman of the Tay Ninh Provincial People’s Committee, emphasized the alignment of these projects with the province’s high-tech industrial development roadmap, marking a significant step towards Vietnam’s technological future.
