Audio Pro has unveiled its latest offerings in the Drumfire wireless speaker range, introducing the Drumfire II W and Drumfire D-2 W. These updated models, which enhance the original series launched in 2018, feature improved sound quality and expanded connectivity options. Both speakers are designed to deliver a more immersive audio experience while maintaining the brand’s distinctive rock-inspired aesthetic.
Enhanced Features and Performance
The flagship model, the Drumfire II W, boasts an impressive 200 watts of Class D amplification. It is equipped with twin soft-dome tweeters and dual 13.7 cm woofers, creating what Audio Pro describes as “pure, bold sound” with exceptional detail. This speaker is engineered to perform well at both low and high volumes, ensuring clarity across various listening environments.
For users looking to expand their sound system, the rear of the Drumfire II W includes RCA inputs and a subwoofer output. This versatility allows for additional components to be integrated, enhancing the listening experience further.
The Drumfire D-2 W, the more compact counterpart, delivers 100 watts of Class D power. It features twin tweeters and dual 11 cm woofers, making it suitable as a standalone unit or when stacked with the larger model. When combined, the two speakers work in harmony, automatically adjusting their crossover settings. This ensures that the larger speaker handles the deep bass, resulting in higher volumes with a cleaner and more dynamic sound profile.
Smart Connectivity and Design
Both models support Audio Pro’s multi-room platform and a broad range of streaming services, including Google Cast, Apple AirPlay 2, Spotify Connect, and Tidal Connect. They are controlled via a newly redesigned Audio Pro app, which features an intuitive layout for easier navigation. This upgrade builds on the success of last year’s C20 W model, which received positive feedback from users.
The design of the Drumfire speakers maintains the brand’s signature style, incorporating faux-leather wrapping, hand-stitched detailing, and aluminium accents. Customers can choose from three color options: white, grey, or black. A set of six physical preset buttons on the top of each speaker allows users to quickly access their favorite playlists or radio stations without needing to use their phones.
In the United Kingdom, the Drumfire II W is priced at £600, while the Drumfire D-2 W is available for £350. Pricing and availability for the Australian market are yet to be confirmed.
With these enhancements, Audio Pro aims to solidify its position in the competitive wireless speaker market, delivering products that not only meet but exceed consumer expectations for quality and usability.
