UPDATE: Playa Bowls, the popular acai bowl franchise founded by Jersey Shore natives Robert Giuliani and Abby Taylor, is set to open a new location in San Marcos, Texas. The new shop will be located at 817 Chestnut Street and is expected to open its doors this spring.
Officials confirmed that construction on the new Playa Bowls location will commence by mid-February and is projected to be completed by mid-May. If all goes as planned, residents can enjoy their refreshing bowls and smoothies by late spring.
Playa Bowls has rapidly expanded since its inception, now boasting over 300 shops across 24 states and territories. Their mission focuses on promoting healthy, sustainable living within communities, and their menu features a variety of acai, pitaya, and coconut bowls, as well as smoothies. Signature offerings include the Protein Power Acai Bowl, Nutella Bowl, and the Goldie Mango Bowl, among others.
