Adelaide’s real estate sector celebrated its top performers at the annual Real Estate Institute of South Australia (REISA) Awards for Excellence held on March 15, 2025. The gala event, attended by over 500 guests at Adelaide Oval, showcased the achievements of industry professionals with a vibrant evening of recognition and celebration.

Leading the accolades was Emma Slape, Chief Executive of Turner Real Estate, who received the prestigious Sir Robert Torrens Award, the highest honour available to real estate professionals in South Australia. This recognition underscores her significant contributions to the industry.

The awards ceremony also highlighted Brad Allan of Allan Real Estate, who was named South Australian Residential Salesperson of the Year. He triumphed over fellow nominees, including Matt Smith from Klemich Real Estate and Tayla Taarnby of TAARNBY Real Estate, both of whom secured silver awards.

Notable Winners Shine in Various Categories

The event celebrated a range of categories, with Amity Dry of OC winning the gold award for Metropolitan Local Salesperson. Brenton Milewski from Klemich Real Estate took silver, while Sam Shoaeeyan of Refined Real Estate received bronze. In the regional category, Grant Schubert from Elders Real Estate Robe was named Regional/Rural Salesperson of the Year.

A standout performance was delivered by LJ Hooker Commercial Adelaide, which received gold awards for both Future Leader – Property Manager and Commercial and Industrial Agency. The organization was also inducted into the Hall of Fame for both Commercial and Industrial Agency and Property Management Agency – Commercial & Industrial Office.

The TAARNBY Real Estate agency continued its impressive track record, securing five gold medals, reflecting its sustained excellence in the field.

Celebrating Resilience in the Industry

In her address, REISA CEO Andrea Heading commended the remarkable talent present within the industry, particularly noting the challenges faced by agents and consumers alike. She remarked, “This year, REISA has been especially proud to see so many new entrants take part — and a particularly strong showing from regional South Australia.”

Heading emphasized the importance of resilience, stating, “Real estate is not for the faint-hearted – it demands adaptability, trust, and teamwork.” She further highlighted the collective strength of teams in achieving success, stating, “While we recognise many individual achievements tonight, true success is rarely a solo effort.”

The evening concluded with congratulations extended to all winners and finalists, reinforcing the pride and passion that define the South Australian real estate industry.

Operational Leadership: Gold winner – Cheryl Misso, Silver – Melanie Williams, Bronze – Hannah Catlin.

Commercial & Industrial Agency: Gold winner – LJ Hooker Commercial Adelaide.
