bastrop-city-council-approves-construction-of-zavodny-food-court

The Bastrop City Council has approved plans for the Zavodny Food Court, a new dining venue set to be constructed at 1615 Cedar Street. This decision, made during a council meeting in May 2023, involved granting a license-to-encroach agreement, allowing the food court to extend into the Public Utility Easement for the placement of mobile food trailers.

Construction for the Zavodny Food Court is projected to begin shortly, with an estimated cost of $189,000. According to filings with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation, the completion date is set for June 1, 2024. The location, at the intersection of Cedar Street and State Highway 95, will place the food court within the Jerry Fay Wilhelm Center for the Performing Arts, an area poised to attract both local residents and visitors.

Following the approval, inquiries were made to Curtis Zavodny, the individual behind the food court initiative, to gain insight into future plans. As of now, Zavodny has not provided additional comments, leaving many eager for further updates on this exciting addition to the community.

The Zavodny Food Court aims to enhance the dining landscape in Bastrop, offering a variety of food options that cater to diverse tastes. The project is anticipated to create local jobs and provide a vibrant gathering space for families and friends.

As construction progresses, residents and stakeholders will be keenly watching for developments. This new food establishment is expected to contribute significantly to the local economy and enrich the cultural fabric of Bastrop.

Further information will be shared as it becomes available, and the community looks forward to welcoming the Zavodny Food Court in the coming months.
