birdie-s-wine-bar-set-to-open-in-east-nashville-by-early-2026

Kelly Boutwell, a certified sommelier, has announced plans to open Birdie’s Wine Bar in Inglewood, a neighbourhood in Nashville. The wine bar is expected to debut in the first quarter of 2026 at 3104 Gallatin Pike as part of the upcoming Lost and Found development. This innovative project aims to create a hospitality park, a community gathering spot, and a small-business incubator.

Initially conceived as a retail bottle shop in a different location, Boutwell shifted her vision after facing zoning challenges. Partnering with the Lost and Found project allowed her to develop a wine bar concept instead. Drawing inspiration from the renowned Bacchanal Wine in New Orleans, Boutwell envisions an interactive experience where patrons can select bottles directly from the shelves. She stated, “Just think about it being pretty interactive. You can grab a bottle off the shelf and take a look. There’ll be information cards that give you an idea of what to expect from the wine.”

The design of Birdie’s will reflect Boutwell’s extensive travels in Italy, featuring a moody Italian influence with green walls and white oak shelving. The bar plans to offer approximately 200 different wines, focusing on selections from small producers and unique regions. This approach aims to showcase less mainstream choices while remaining approachable and affordable.

Boutwell expressed her vision for the space, saying, “I’ve traveled extensively in Italy, and Birdie’s is not far off from what you would walk into in Italy. You grab a bottle off the shelf and then go outside to enjoy it at bistro tables.” She hopes to foster a social atmosphere where friends can gather, share a meal, and engage in lively conversation.

In addition to Birdie’s, Lost and Found will also feature other exciting concepts, including Pizza Lolo, which is set to open alongside the wine bar. The development will host two retail shops, four rotating food trucks, a craft cocktail bar, and pop-up markets. Boutwell emphasized the importance of celebrating the uniqueness of different regions, stating, “This is an opportunity to highlight what makes regions or countries unique and embrace those things.”

As anticipation builds for Birdie’s Wine Bar, it is clear that Boutwell’s vision is not only about providing quality wine but also about creating a vibrant community hub in East Nashville. The combination of rich wine selections and an inviting atmosphere promises to make Birdie’s a notable addition to the local scene.
