Burtons Grill & Bar is set to open its inaugural location in New Jersey, marking a significant expansion for the popular restaurant chain. The new establishment will be located in Parsippany, specifically in District 15 at 1501 NJ-10. CEO John Haggai expressed enthusiasm about the site, stating, “It’s the perfect spot for us. We love to be in a place where people gather, shop, and dine.”
The decision to enter the New Jersey market comes after a thorough search for suitable locations over the past few years. Haggai noted the challenges of finding the right spot but emphasized the excitement surrounding this development. “This will be our first in New Jersey, so we’re really excited,” he added.
Construction and Design Plans
The construction of the Parsippany restaurant will be managed by Schorn Construction Co., Inc.. The company recently announced via Instagram that the necessary permits have been secured, with plans to commence construction in early January 2026. They anticipate that the new restaurant will be ready to welcome guests by the summer of 2026.
Haggai indicated that while the Parsippany location will embody the signature elements of Burtons, it will also incorporate unique design features tailored to the local community. “We like to match the community, the center, the vibe. There will be some twists and turns on the design,” he explained.
Menu Highlights and Dining Experience
Burtons Grill & Bar is known for its diverse all-day menu, which includes sharable appetizers, salads, sandwiches, fresh seafood, prime steaks, and classic American entrees. The restaurant also offers brunch options, gluten-free choices, and happy hour specials, featuring items such as $9 bar bites.
Some standout dishes include braised short ribs served with cabernet au jus, chicken piccata paired with angel hair pasta, and pappardelle Bolognese with fresh pasta and traditional meat sauce. The restaurant prides itself on its scratch kitchen and allergy-friendly offerings, ensuring a dining experience that accommodates various dietary needs. Haggai highlighted, “We’ve been able to nail that where the food is phenomenal but also we have a very inclusive offering where you can cater and navigate through the menu the way you need.”
In addition to its robust food offerings, Burtons features a carefully curated cocktail program alongside a selection of beer and wine options.
As the opening date approaches, Haggai expressed optimism about the new location, stating, “If the stars align, we will be opening right in early summer with a beautiful patio and killer bar—good stuff, good times.”
Currently, Burtons Grill & Bar operates in numerous states, including Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, North Carolina, South Carolina, Pennsylvania, and Virginia. The upcoming Parsippany location signifies a strategic move to broaden the chain’s footprint in the northeastern United States.
