On November 7, 2025, Delta Electronics (Thailand) PCL. hosted the Delta Future Industry Summit 2025 in Bangkok, focusing on the theme “Transforming Industry with AI, Automation & Energy in Southeast Asia.” The event brought together key policymakers, business leaders, industry experts, and academic figures to discuss the role of sustainable artificial intelligence (AI), smart manufacturing, and energy resilience in reshaping the region towards a more intelligent and sustainable future.

Government Commitment to Sustainable Growth

Dr. Nattapol Rangsitpol, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Industry, emphasized the importance of integrating technology with sustainability. He stated, “Southeast Asia is entering a new era where technology and sustainability must advance hand in hand. By embracing AI, automation, and clean energy, we are building competitive and sustainable industries for future generations.” Dr. Rangsitpol reaffirmed Thailand’s commitment to fostering regional collaboration and developing digital talent to enhance smart industrial ecosystems.

During the summit, Victor Cheng, CEO of Delta Electronics (Thailand), expressed gratitude to participants for their insights. He highlighted the summit’s role in promoting collaboration and innovation, stating, “By accelerating collaboration, innovation, and the deployment of our smart energy-saving solutions, we empower industries and mankind to achieve their sustainability goals.”

Insights into Sustainable AI and Industrial Automation

A significant portion of the summit was dedicated to a presentation by Shan-Shan Guo, Chief Brand Officer of Delta Electronics, who discussed the findings of a research report by Economist Impact. The report revealed that innovative energy-efficient technologies are crucial for developing green AI. “Up to 78% of companies expect energy efficiency in their AI operations to be relevant within a year,” Guo noted, adding that grid resilience poses a key challenge. Delta aims to enhance this resilience by transforming traditional AC-DC power conversion to high-voltage DC.

The summit featured an opening address by Dr. Rangsitpol on “Enabling Smart and Sustainable Industry in Southeast Asia for Global Impact.” This session set the tone for discussions on industrial modernization and sustainable innovation across the region. In the session titled “From Automation to Autonomous Solution,” Vatsun Thirapatarapong, Country Manager of Amazon Web Services (AWS) Thailand, explained the evolution of automation into intelligent processes powered by machine learning. He stated, “This transformation is driving significant gains in workforce productivity and user experience.”

Two engaging panel discussions followed, focusing on digital infrastructure and manufacturing transformations in the region. The first panel, addressing “How Smart Buildings and Data Centers Are Shaping the Future of Digital Infrastructure,” included insights from industry leaders such as Ke-Vin Lim and Suthipat Lueprasert. The discussions underscored the importance of AI-driven systems in optimizing performance and promoting sustainable design.

The second panel, “Powering the Smart Factory with Energy Intelligence and Industrial Automation,” featured experts such as Sven Herschel and Angkhan Tongkumphong. They explored how energy intelligence and industrial automation are revolutionizing Southeast Asia’s manufacturing landscape, enhancing efficiency and competitiveness.

Delta showcased several innovations that support future industrial transformation, including datacenter solutions, industrial automation solutions, smart energy systems, and EV charging solutions. These exhibits reflected Delta’s commitment to aligning technological progress with sustainability efforts to transform urban and industrial environments.
