The Dishdash Restaurant Group, founded by restaurateurs Nadiah Mshasha and Emad Ibrahim, is planning to launch a new Dish N Dash location in Dublin, California, in early 2026. A recently submitted permit application indicates that the restaurant will occupy the site previously held by Applebee’s Bar + Grill, which closed its doors in June 2023.
The new eatery will be situated at 4808 Dublin Boulevard, in proximity to popular establishments such as Five Guys, Jamba Juice, and Lazy Dog Restaurant & Bar. Mshasha expressed enthusiasm about the opportunity, stating, “Over the years, as many of our family members have moved toward Dublin and the Tri-Valley area, they have mentioned the opportunity for an upscale fast casual Middle Eastern establishment amongst the existing fast food options.”
Community-Centric Vision
Mshasha highlighted the shared characteristics between Dublin, the Tri-Valley area, and Silicon Valley, where the restaurant group currently operates. “We felt the Dublin and Tri-Valley area really shares many of the essential characteristics of the community we serve in the Silicon Valley; ethnically diverse, busy individuals and families looking for high-quality, easily accessible, authentic Middle Eastern food,” she added. The restaurant aims to cater not only to individual diners but also to companies seeking consistent and customizable catering options.
Founded in 2001 in Sunnyvale, California, Dish N Dash has grown to five locations across the region, including San Jose, Milpitas, Cupertino, and Fremont. The menu features an array of Middle Eastern dishes, including made-from-scratch hummus, falafel, and pita bread, as well as specialties like kibbeh, a bulghur shell filled with ground lamb and other ingredients. Mshasha emphasizes that these items are prepared fresh, unlike many competitors who opt for frozen or canned alternatives.
Looking Ahead
Although Mshasha could not provide additional details regarding the expansion before publication, the Dish N Dash team is excited about this new venture in Dublin. The anticipated opening during the first quarter of 2026 promises to add a distinctive culinary option to the local dining landscape.
