The Tennessean Travel Stop in Cornersville, Tennessee, is set to undergo a significant transformation this summer. In a collaboration with Dolly Parton, the travel stop will be rebranded as Dolly’s Tennessean Travel Stop, aimed at enhancing roadside hospitality for travelers.

Revamping Roadside Hospitality

Since its establishment in 1974, the Tennessean Travel Stop has been a key stop for motorists in the region. The planned rebranding is part of a broader vision to create a welcoming environment for those on the road. According to Danny Nozell, CEO of CTK Enterprises and long-time manager of Parton, “Dolly’s Tennessean Travel Stops will be more than a place to refuel — it’s about recharging the spirit.”

This initiative reflects Parton’s deep connection to her home state and her dedication to supporting local businesses and communities. The Cornersville location will serve as the flagship for what the team hopes will become a network of travel stops across Tennessee and the Southeastern United States.

Parton, who has spent considerable time traveling, shared her vision for the project, stating, “All the years spent visiting greasy spoon cafes, truck stops and roadside pit stops have given me an understanding of what travelers desire on the road.” She emphasized the importance of creating a space that feels like home for all types of travelers, whether they are in a truck, bus, or car.

Future Plans and Offerings

Once renovations are completed, Dolly’s Tennessean Travel Stop will feature modern amenities, local retail options, and curated dining experiences. Currently, the travel stop offers a variety of food options, including sandwiches, burgers, steak, and fried chicken. Specific details regarding the new design and menu have yet to be announced, but further updates are expected in the coming months.

Gregory H. Sachs, chairman and CEO of the Tennessean Travel Stop and Sachs Capital Group, highlighted the establishment’s long-standing role as a “home away from home” for travelers and locals. He expressed enthusiasm about the partnership with Parton, stating, “This new partnership allows us to carry that legacy forward in a way that celebrates everything special about Tennessee.”

The rebranding of the Tennessean Travel Stop marks an exciting new chapter for both the location and the community it serves. As the summer approaches, many await the unveiling of this refreshed travel destination that promises to enrich the experiences of travelers across the region.
