Durango Casino & Resort has commenced construction on the third phase of its expansion, a significant step in its long-term development plan. The north property expansion will add an impressive 275,000 square feet to the existing facilities, introducing a diverse array of gaming, dining, entertainment, and recreational options aimed at enhancing the guest experience in southwest Las Vegas.
The new phase follows the recent opening of the Phase II south expansion, which contributed over 25,000 square feet of additional casino space. This earlier expansion included a high-limit slot room, a bar, and a new covered parking structure, setting the stage for the current development. The upcoming expansion is set to introduce a larger casino floor featuring approximately 400 additional slot machines, a state-of-the-art 36-lane bowling facility, luxury movie theaters, and various new restaurant concepts along with food hall outlets. Several new entertainment venues will also be part of the expansion.
Construction is currently underway and is expected to take around 18 months to complete, with an estimated cost of $385 million. During this period, all existing resort amenities will remain open and accessible to guests, ensuring minimal disruption.
