The Global Sources Hong Kong Shows, held at AsiaWorld-Expo, concluded on November 10, 2025, marking a successful three-phase event that attracted approximately 5,000 suppliers and showcased over 340,000 innovative products. The shows spanned eight professional sectors, including Gaming, Consumer Electronics, and Smart Home, and welcomed more than 120,000 buyers, with a notable increase in attendance from emerging markets.
Highlighting Cutting-Edge Innovation
Under the theme “Where Cutting-Edge Technology Meets Digital Entertainment,” the first phase of the exhibition focused on Consumer Electronics, Electronic Components, and Gaming. This segment highlighted the complete ecosystem of the esports industry, gathering renowned brands and their manufacturing partners. Attendees explored a wide range of offerings, from gaming PCs and controllers to immersive audio-visual systems and live streaming equipment.
The second phase introduced the “AI Pavilion,” featuring over 1,200 booths that showcased advancements in smart terminals, wearables, and AI-powered products. Concurrent events, including the Consumer AI Gadget Conference and the AI & Robotics Summit, gathered industry experts to discuss strategies for the Asian market and the commercialization of robotics. Notably, visitors experienced demonstrations of AI capabilities, including a robot that previously performed with internet celebrity IShowSpeed.
The final phase celebrated “World Cup Fever” by showcasing products for outdoor sports, including the rapidly growing sport of pickleball. With a market forecasted to grow from approximately USD 457 million in 2024 to USD 916 million by 2034, the show emphasized the diverse ecosystem surrounding this sport. Participants engaged with exhibitors offering a range of products, including professional-grade paddles and accessories, while an indoor training camp featured top athletes demonstrating their skills.
International Participation and Collaborations
This edition of the Global Sources Shows highlighted a significant international presence, with suppliers from 19 countries, including Vietnam, Bangladesh, and South Korea. The Vietnam Pavilion, inaugurated during Phase 2, was officiated by Mrs. VU Thi Thuy, Deputy Consul General of Vietnam in Hong Kong. Supported by the Vietnam Trade Promotion Agency and the Vietnam SME Association, the pavilion featured 20 exhibitors, enriching the diverse lineup.
Global Sources also celebrated its 30th anniversary during the event, hosting a cocktail party to commemorate three decades of achievements in online sourcing. CEO Hu Wei shared insights into the company’s future direction and its commitment to connecting global buyers with Asian suppliers.
Feedback from exhibitors was overwhelmingly positive. Zhu Yong, Sales and Marketing Manager at Shanghai Huamucao Technology Development Co., Ltd., expressed satisfaction with the high volume of inquiries, particularly from buyers in Europe and Russia. Similarly, Euchi Ibrahim, CEO of Tunisian company revo & blackwave, noted strong interest from buyers drawn to their Mediterranean location and competitive pricing.
Buyers also reported valuable insights gained from face-to-face interactions. Brazilian buyer Guto Mazzoni emphasized the importance of personal connections for successful negotiations, while UK buyer David Tansley highlighted the advantages of seeing new products and innovations in person.
Looking forward, Global Sources aims to enhance its role as a global trade platform by focusing on innovative applications and the development of AI products. John Kao, Vice President of Global Sources Hong Kong and Overseas Shows, stated that the organization is dedicated to integrating technology with global supply chains to identify growth opportunities for both buyers and suppliers.
