Tyris Bell, a local entrepreneur known for his successful catering company, is set to expand his culinary offerings with the opening of Bell Heir’s BBQ at the River Oaks Center. This new location, situated at 96 River Oaks Center Drive, is expected to begin operations next month.

With a menu that mirrors his catering business, Bell Heir’s BBQ will feature a variety of Southern dishes. Among the highlights are the popular smoked BBQ rib tips and buttermilk fried chicken wings. Other offerings include a smoked brisket burger, smoked brisket mac and cheese, along with a selection of pizzas. Customers can explore the full menu on the restaurant’s website.

Bell brings extensive experience to this venture, having served as the general manager of Luella’s Southern Kitchen in Irving Park. His passion for cooking is deeply rooted in family traditions, with recipes inspired by his great-grandmother. “That is why my goal is that Bell Heir’s BBQ will rise above the ‘herd’ of Chicago barbecue joints and be considered one of the best,” Bell stated on the restaurant’s website.

The new BBQ establishment will be located on the northwest side of the River Oaks Center, conveniently near Auntie Anne’s. Construction on the kitchen is currently underway, and Bell is in the process of preparing meats for the upcoming launch.
