A new Southern food carryout concept named Crafted + Carried is set to open in the Central Eastside neighborhood, bringing a taste of the South to local residents. Chef Justin Eaton, an experienced culinary professional from Arkansas, plans to launch the restaurant at 1135 SE Grand Avenue by mid-October 2023. This establishment will offer catering and delivery services, catering specifically to the local community’s needs.
Eaton aims to provide a farm-to-table dining experience, emphasizing the use of high-quality produce. He expressed his excitement for the venture, stating, “I’m bringing in great produce and a wonderful farm-to-table atmosphere.” While the official menu is yet to be released, the restaurant’s website features enticing options like sandwiches and wraps. The slogan, “Made with soul. Packed to roll,” encapsulates the spirit of the brand.
In addition to the food offerings, Crafted + Carried will operate from the north end of the building and feature a convenient pickup window. This new venture joins a lineup of diverse dining options at the Grand Avenue Food Hall, where it will stand alongside restaurants such as SOL Modern Indian Cuisine, ThaiDash, Beau Thai, and Hawaiian Bros Island Grill.
Eaton has an impressive background in the culinary field, having founded IDK CAFE & Catering in Rogers, Arkansas. He currently serves as the executive chef at The Cockpit Cafe in Rogers, where he refers to himself as the “chief creative dude” of Crafted + Carried. His experience and creative approach to Southern cuisine are expected to resonate with patrons.
As the opening date approaches, Crafted + Carried is establishing its presence on social media platforms to engage with the community. For those interested in learning more about the restaurant, additional information can be found on their website at craftedcarried.com.
With the anticipated opening of Crafted + Carried, Central Eastside residents can look forward to enjoying authentic Southern flavors and a fresh dining experience in the coming weeks.
